Here is what I know about Broly: Broly is the strongest character in Dragonball. The only character that stood a chance against him was/is Gohan at SSJ3 but the only time that he stands that chance is when Broly is in SSJ1 and is toying with the Z fighters. Broly can go up to SSJ4 but there is no point because the energy surge from going that far would/will destroy the universe and all around him. He is stong enough to take on all of the Z characters at once which he does and beats them without using ki blasts or powering up. Once he goes SSJ he is basically invincible but he is forced to go SSJ2 later on to defeat Gohan,Goku,and Goten When they do the Cho-Kame Hame Ha. Broly has easily survived the Big bang Kame Hame Ha may times and repeatedly. Broly has no real speacial attack like Goku and the others. He is strong enough to power up a ki blast and destroy entire universes without using a billionth(0.0000001) of his energy. Broly is a partially insane character who is related to Goku way on down the line. Goku and Broly were born on the same day and Gokus' crying is why Broly is like he is. The reason they call him then Ancient Sayian is because when he was only 10 he learned how to travel in space and went to a small planet that had something similar to the Hiperballic Time Chamber but there he gained power and sizewithout the problem of a limit or dying. He spent 10 years in it and by the time he was about 25 he had a regular power level of about 855,560,000. He was also a king of the planet he trained on until he destroyed it because he was bored with the people
